October is here, which means cooler mornings, changing leaves, and the start of that time of year when we all remember just how fast Illinois weather can change.
At PROformance Tint & PPF, October is a busy month for a few reasons. It’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month; we have something special planned for everyone who visits us this month, and we’re helping customers get their vehicles ready for the colder weather ahead.
You’ll probably notice a little more pink around PROformance this month. Breast Cancer Awareness Month is something we wanted to recognize because breast cancer has touched so many families, friends, and communities.
We support the fighters, the survivors, the families standing beside them, and the people we’ve lost along the way. For us, this month is simply about showing support, spreading awareness, and reminding people that taking care of yourself matters.
Nobody wants to walk outside on a freezing Illinois morning and sit in an ice-cold vehicle while waiting for it to warm up. That’s exactly why we’re excited to now offer remote start installation at PROformance, starting at $350.
October is actually the perfect time to get one installed before the real cold weather hits and everyone starts calling at once. A remote start gives you a chance to warm up your vehicle from inside your home or office, making those cold mornings a whole lot easier.
Winter is hard on vehicles around here. Between road salt, gravel, slush, sand, and highway debris, your paint can take a beating pretty quickly.
That’s where Paint Protection Film, or PPF, comes in. PPF creates a protective layer over the painted areas of your vehicle and helps protect against rock chips and everyday road damage.
At PROformance, we install premium LLumar Paint Protection Film and can protect anything from just the high-impact areas to the entire vehicle. Some of the most popular areas we protect are the full hood, front bumper, full fenders, mirrors, rocker panels, A-pillars, headlights, door cups, and door edges.
We’re also big on the details. Clean edges, wrapped areas where possible, careful prep, and making sure the finished job looks like it belongs on the vehicle instead of looking like film was simply added on top of it.
Ceramic coating and PPF do two different jobs, and they work really well together.
PPF helps protect against physical damage like rock chips, while ceramic coating helps protect the surface from contamination and makes the vehicle much easier to clean. During winter, when your vehicle is constantly covered in salt, grime, and dirty snow, that slick protective surface makes a huge difference.
A lot of our customers choose to do PPF on the front of the vehicle and ceramic coating on the rest, which gives them a really solid combination of protection without having to wrap the entire vehicle in film.
A lot of people think about window tint when it’s 90 degrees outside, but tint is useful year-round.
Quality window film helps with UV protection, glare, privacy, and overall comfort no matter what month it is.
